If only we could bring the math concepts out into the hands of children to play with, what is possible then? Also we, human beings, are very tactile. Experiential learning is far more rewarding than textbook modes. So I proposed a new blackboard that reimagines a numbers on wheels to represent the numberline. Students can manipulate it to go from one point in the the line to another; thereby changing the value designated to each point. This would be a series of wheels that sit next to each other.
